RKDA teachers adopt : “Sama Dana Bheda Dandopaya” Upayas which have been working for professional gurus till date. Upayas is a Sanskrit word that means “approaches” or “ideas” found in Hinduism and Jainism texts. Kautilya mentioned four Upayas – Sama, Dana or Dama, Danda and Bheda.
- Sama: Explain, reason out patiently.
- Dana, the second, means gifts or compensation. Sometimes it is referred to as Dama. (Happy Smilies in journal) e
- Bheda, in RKDA interpretation Veda (logic): Explain logically.
- Danda refers to subtle punishments. Example no talk, Sad Smilies in journal.
All of the above four Upayas are generally spoken together in a single colloquial phrase – “Sama Dana Bheda Dandopaya”.
Over the last 10yrs RKDA believes that it has evolved tremendously in teaching techniques and these techniques should be preserved for future generation’s usage.
